Hope College of Arts & Sciences is committed to the success of every student throughout the nursing program. To facilitate success, Hope College of Arts & Sciences retains an assistant director of nursing to coordinate and support nursing students with admission and progression through the program.
The Library/ Media Center is a very spacious area containing a 1,000+ book collection and several computers for the students’ use. The library is subscribed to Library Intern Resource Network (LIRN). Users can access this resource from anywhere with an internet connection after the library has closed. Hours of Operation: 9AM to 10:30PM, Monday through Thursday, and Friday 9AM to 5PM.
Hope College of Arts & Sciences has Financial Aid for the ASN Program. Please call to schedule an appointment with the financial coordinator. The finance department will be happy to discuss your individual case with you. Appointments are availabe from 9AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday.
HCAS entrance requirements are: Academic test and/or preadmission assessment. All testing fees are payable by credit/debit card, personal check, cashier's check or money order. We do not accept cash.
School Academic Testing: Mondays through Thursdays 9:00AM to 6:00PM, and Fridays 9:00AM to 3:00PM.

Graduates, who have taken and failed the NCLEX-RN the first time, will have the following resources available to them, to guide them in passing the NCLEX-RN exam: A personal approach where the students will return to the college are paired up with their peers that have passes the NCLEX, and an educator from ATI.
Step 1. ATI Comprehensive Nursing Assessment to identify the students’ strengths and weaknesses.
Step 2. Develop an individualized review plan to address the students’ weaknesses.
Step 3. Implement student review plan which may include but limited to:
A. Individualized and/or Group support sessions.
B. Free tutoring services relating to content review.
C. Benchmark testing to identify progress.
D. Individualized conferences with student’s pre-during-and-post to discuss progress.
E. Free Nursing NCLEX Boot Camp sessions.
Step 4. Evaluate metrics using ATI comprehensive nursing assessments to determine NCLEX Readiness.
Step 5. Review test taking strategies to assist in passing the NCLEX Exam
